Two Day Adventure Wedding: A Moody Oregon Coast Elopement Adventure
Unveiling the Magic of Redwoods National Park
One of the non negotiables for Marissa and Kaylas wedding weekend was going to wander among the redwoods. My husband and I made sure we spent plenty of time in the Redwoods finding the perfect spots with the least amount of people so these two could really take everything in. M+K both have such a connection to nature, watching them run through the towering hundreds of year old redwood trees was magic I can’t even describe. We laughed, climbed gargantuan tree trunks, and made too many twilight jokes as we gazed up at these magnificent trees.
Embarking on a Secluded Coastal Odyssey
Marissa and Kayla started their wedding day scaling cliff sides, and hiking through sunlit pine forests. They told me they wanted an unforgettable adventure to kick off their wedding day, and I knew the exact place. Samuel H. Boardman state park has some of the most breathtaking views, and I knew it would be the perfect setting for these two to jumpstart their wedding day together before becoming wives. We hiked down one of the most Jaw dropping trails as the ocean cascaded around us. I have to say this trail is definitely not for the faint of heart. We were grabbing tree roots to keep our balance, and walking down muddy cliffs, but these two were up for the adventure that comes with the moody elements of the Oregon coast: resulting in some of the most epic elopements and photos I have ever taken.
The Brookings Backdrop: A Picturesque Coastal Canvas
M+K exchanged vows at a quaint little airBNB overlooking the rocky Oregon shoreline. They wanted to exchange vows in a place that was easily accessible for their intimate guest list of friends and family. Styling their own arch, and simple table scape in the backyard, itt was the perfect setting for their small and intentional wedding vision.
After these two officially tied the knot, we ran down to the beach watching the waves crash around us. In true Oregon style, the clouds came in surrounding us like a blanket. We may have not gotten your typical “sunset” color palette, but it was the perfect moody Oregon setting for celebrating the beginning of M+K’s adventure together as wives.
To finish the night off everyone ate around the table under the moonlight. These two played with sparklers, cut a little cake, and danced around the bonfire with their friends and family. It was the perfect way to wrap up their wedding weekend.
